The Kingston Police Service says officers responded to a “panic alarm activation” at a shelter within the space of Montreal Road and Joseph Road on Saturday.
“At roughly 10:05 p.m. the accused attended the consumption space of an area shelter making an attempt to achieve entry to the shelter. The accused was suggested by shelter employees that they might not be admitted into the shelter for the evening,” police stated in a press release.
“The accused grew to become upset with the employees member and commenced screaming in frustration. The accused then exited the shelter the place they confronted a unique employees member who occurred to be outdoors on the time.”
Police say after a short trade, a employees member was hit within the face by the suspect.
