Ottawa Kingston, Ont.’s police board has selected Adam Mac Intosh as the new chief of the Kingston Police.
Hailing from Ontario, he has experience in Nunavut and B. C.

Kingston, Ont.’s police board has selected Adam Mac Intosh as the new chief of the Kingston Police.
The board mentioned on Friday that Mac Intosh brings 25 years of frontline and leadership experience in policing, including implementing body cameras in Nunavut. Most recently, he’s been involved with cyber and financial crimes while working with the RCMP in B. C.
This Ontario native is also pursuing a master’s degree in business administration, according to the board.
The current Kingston Police Chief Scott Fraser will retire at year’s end. Mac Intosh is set to officially begin his role as chief on January 20, 2026.
