A brief bridge is about to open over the Cataraqui River in Kingston, Ont. this afternoon, permitting autos, cyclists and pedestrians to cross the LaSalle Causeway for the primary time in months.
The Metropolis of Kingston says the two-lane, non permanent modular bridge will present a shared roadway for cyclists and motorists, with a separate sidewalk for pedestrians. The bridge will open to autos at 12 p.m.
The Lasalle Causeway, a primary transportation hyperlink between downtown and Kingston’s east finish, has been closed because the bridge was broken throughout upkeep work on the finish of March.
