As reported earlier, on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, Kingston Police were called to Kingston General Hospital regarding an unidentified male patient who had died due to injuries from an assault.
On Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, police confirmed that they arrested 51-year-old Angelo Oliveira with help from the Street Crime and Drug Enforcement Units. He has been charged with second-degree murder and appeared in court the next day.
Authorities are now searching for two more people linked to that homicide.
“Through the course of investigation, two additional suspects have been identified. 32-year-old Jesse Hanrahan of Kingston and 59-year-old Mike Barry also of Kingston are currently wanted for Second Degree Murder,” Kingston Police stated in a press release on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
“If you believe you see either of these individuals do not approach and contact 9-1-1 immediately,” advised Kingston Police.

Update (Friday, Jan. 9, 2026):
On Thursday, Jan. 8, police announced that they arrested Mike Barry, age 59. He was taken into custody near Princess and Parkway around 1:15 p. m. The next day, Friday, Jan. 9, police reported that Jesse Hanrahan was also arrested in the City of Kingston around noon.
