A two-vehicle collision on Street 38 in South Frontenac led to a number of charges for a 34-year-old resident of Loyalist Township, who fled the scene on foot.
The incident befell shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, when officers from the Frontenac County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene of the collision.
In response to a launch from the OPP, the collision resulted in two individuals from one car being transported to a neighborhood hospital with non-life-threatening accidents and the motive force of the second car fleeing the realm on foot.
“Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, as well as an OPP Canine Unit, Kingston Police uniform members and a Kingston Police Canine Unit successfully located and arrested an individual,” the OPP detailed.
The incident was a head-on collision that occurred between Yarker Rd and Quinn Rd on Street 38 close to Harrowsmith. In response to Kingstonist inquiries, the OPP stated that the accused was taken into custody roughly 90 minutes after the preliminary collision and roughly half-hour after police started the canine monitor.

Police stated Seguin was held in custody pending a bail listening to within the Ontario Court docket of Justice in Kingston on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their car was impounded.
