Police are at present investigating a collision that occurred in central Kingston over the weekend that claimed the lifetime of a neighborhood woman.
At roughly 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, Kingston Police, Kingston Hearth & Rescue, and Frontenac Paramedics all responded to the collision, which occurred on the intersection of Tub Street and Armstrong Street, simply east of Collins Bay Establishment.
“An initial investigation revealed a 47-year-old Kingston woman operating an electric bicycle crossing Bath Road toward Armstrong Road was struck by a pick-up truck making a left turn onto Bath Road from Armstrong Road,” Kingston Police stated.
“The victim was administered first aid by a passerby until paramedics arrived on scene and transported the victim to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.”
Tub Street was closed within the space for about 4 hours as police carried out their on-scene investigation.
In response to police, no charges have been laid within the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
