Canadian Protection to Construct Digital Warfare Compound in Ontario

The Canadian Division of Defence is investing within the development of a brand new digital warfare facility at Canadian Forces Base Kingston in Ontario.

The 98-million Canadian greenback ($68.3 million) initiative goals to construct “one secure compound” to deal with vital assist operations and bolster collaborations between the army’s digital warfare groups.

It should embody 8,350 sq. meters (89,879 sq. ft) of space within the set up and can obtain a two-storey format with areas for administrative and coaching functions and an on-site solar energy generator to assist Ottawa’s federal goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.

The middle’s design might be supplied by Kingston-based Colbourne & Kembel Architects Inc., with the development part anticipated to assist about 150 alternatives within the area.
