5 individuals are going through charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized medication at a residence in Odessa
In response to a launch from the OPP, on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, the East Area Neighborhood Road Crime Unit (CSCU), assisted by members of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County detachment, executed a search warrant at an deal with on Principal Road in Odessa.
“A quantity of suspected cocaine was seized, along with paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking, and multiple cell phones,” police detailed.
“A quantity of suspected fentanyl was later found concealed on one of the accused after being transported to detachment.”
Because of the investigation, Joshua Gjelstad, age 35, of Napanee, Amanda Holland, age 44, of Odessa, James McMahon, age 63, of Napanee, Shayna Hiddleston, age 40, of Centre Hastings, and Corean Eatmon, age 53, of Tyendinaga First Nation have been arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the aim of trafficking – cocaine.
Gjelstad was moreover charged with:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the aim of trafficking – opioid (aside from heroin)Failure to adjust to a probation order
Holland was moreover charged with two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the aim of trafficking – opioid (aside from heroin).
Police stated that Gjelstand and Holland have been held in custody pending a bail listening to. The outcomes of the listening to weren’t offered.
The remaining three accused have been launched from custody and are scheduled to seem on the Ontario Courtroom of Justice in Larger Napanee at a later date.
