The Polish Singers Alliance of America District IX hosted its yearly Koncert Koled at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Hamilton, Ontario on Sunday, Jan. 11. This was followed by a delightful home-cooked dinner provided by the Symfonia Choir of Hamilton.
The Chopin Singing Society took part in the concert and joined the Canadian choirs from the district, including Symfonia and Cantabile choirs, for a combined chorus finale. Other performers included the parish’s Children’s Choir as well as “Te Deum,” the adult choir of St. Stanislaus Kostka.
Soloist Katarzyna Konstanty sang “Mary, Did you Know?” and performed alongside Symfonia in “Jezus Malusienki.” She also joined the combined choruses as a soloist in “O Swieta Noc/O Holy Night,” along with James Mrozek from Chopin.
The packed church applauded the choirs for their wonderful performances. Some members of the Kalina Singing Society enjoyed the concert and participated in the dinner festivities.
