Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath has issued a warning to Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT) that they won’t be welcome in Hamilton in the event that they plan on selling hate. Her assertion got here after social media blew up Monday with phrase that the worldwide pan-Islamist and Islamic fundamentalist political group was transferring a deliberate convention to Hamilton, after Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish objected. On third January, the worldwide pan-Islamist organisation which has been declared a terrorist group by a number of governments introduced that it will host the ‘Khilafah Conference 2025’ in Mississauga.  Carolyn Parrish,  vowed to oppose the convention. On Sunday social media posts indicated the convention was coming to Hamilton with no location indicated. A question by the Bay Observer to Hizb ut-Tahrir went unanswered.

In her assertion in the present day, Horwath advised the group will likely be banned from utilizing any city-owned amenities, writing, “ it has come to my attention that there is a planned event in Hamilton which has raised significant concerns for me and our community. Since learning of this event I have been in direct communication with Hamilton police Service who are closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety. The City of Hamilton enforces strict conditions for all groups or organizations seeking to rent City facilities. We unequivocally refuse access to any group that engages in or promotes hatred or any form of divisive behavior. …If such actions are reported or reasonably suspected, permits will be denied or immediately revokes and appropriate measures will be taken to address the situation.”

Described as an excessive Islamist group, Hizb ut Tarhir is banned in Germany and the UK. The group deliberate the convention in Mississauga for January 18 to debate obstacles to re-establishing an Islamic caliphate.

In a promotional video for the convention, a Hizb ut-Tahrir follower romanticizes the glory of former caliphates, promising that the Muslim world will stand up once more to reestablish the caliphate.
