Hamilton police say a person was despatched to hospital with severe accidents on Monday after being struck by a Purolator truck.
Witnesses inform CHCH Information first responders arrived on scene at King Avenue East, between Rosedale Drive and New Mountain Highway, round midday.
Police confirmed the courier car appeared to have run over the person, who was strolling. The truck remained on scene after the collision till a service car arrived to tow it away.
A enterprise proprietor within the space instructed CHCH Information the scene was surprising.
“The Purolator truck was in the middle of the intersection there, it did seem somebody was still underneath it,” Stew Jarvis mentioned. “I couldn’t see too close because a lot of police and medics were pushing people back.”
Hamilton police say the driving force of the car was charged with careless driving inflicting bodily hurt.
