Tomorrow marks the first Friday the 13th of the year, which means it’s time for the usual biker rally in Port Dover, Ont.
This Norfolk County event takes place every Friday the 13th, so there will be another one in March and again in November.
According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Const. Andrew Gamble, this week’s rally is likely to attract fewer attendees compared to the recent summer events.
Nonetheless, the OPP Norfolk County detachment anticipates an uptick in both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, especially downtown Port Dover.

No road closures
“A visible police presence will be maintained throughout the day to support public safety and ensure a positive experience for residents and visitors alike,” Gamble said. He also urged drivers and motorcycle riders to check weather conditions beforehand and drive safely. This past June, Port Dover restricted certain streets to motorcycle traffic only for the rally. However, a spokesperson from Norfolk County confirmed that won’t happen this time around. The county mentioned that first responders and roads department staff will be on standby if crowds gather, although cold weather typically keeps numbers down. No vendors will set up on county property except for rally organizers from the Port Dover Kinsmen who will sell T-shirts in Elmer Lewis parking lot.Source link
