Hamilton police have arrested a Hamilton man linked to the break-and-enter Wednesday afternoon at a Stoney Creek dwelling.
Officers say they responded to a break-in round 2 p.m. after an unknown man compelled his approach into the constructing by a aspect door.
Investigators say the home-owner was startled awake from the intrusion. Police allege the suspect fled after a confrontation which prompted a search of the world.
Detectives acquired a name a few man matching the suspect’s description through the search, who approached a girl outdoors her dwelling and requested for her assist.
When she expressed discomfort in serving to him, the person turned verbally aggressive earlier than leaving.
Officers arrested 51-year-old Louis Roy from Hamilton quickly after, and recovered and returned the stolen property.
Roy is dealing with charges of breaking and coming into, two counts for failing to conform probations, and for acquiring property price below $5,000 by crime.
