Hamilton residents might face a virtually seven per cent property tax enhance in 2025, in response to a brand new forecast from metropolis workers.

At the moment, workers had projected the next 2025 finances enhance of 8.5 per cent, which Horwath described on Monday as “out of whack.” 

Whereas it is now dropped to six.9 per cent, Hamilton residents can count on extra tax hikes within the coming years.

Workers are projecting a 6.8 per cent enhance in 2026 and a six per cent enhance in 2027, mentioned their report.
