A police officer and a person have each been injured throughout an armed confrontation early Saturday night in Hamilton.
The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. at a residence within the Ainslie Wooden West neighbourhood, on Most important St. W., simply south of Osler Dr.
Hamilton Police Service (HPS) stated that the officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening accidents after responding to a 911 name the place he was confronted by a male with a firearm.
In addition they stated {that a} man was transported to the hospital in life-threatening situation.
The province’s Particular Investigations Unit (SIU) has since invoked its mandate, HPS stated.
The SIU is named in to analyze when police are concerned in an incident that leads to demise, critical damage, sexual assault, and/or the discharge of a firearm at an individual.
