One teen is in custody and three others are wished following a smash-and-grab theft at Peoples Jewellers in Lime Ridge Mall on Tuesday.
A jewellery retailer employee referred to as Hamilton police round 3 p.m., saying a gaggle of teenagers had been smashing show instances with hammers and stealing jewellery.
Police Inspector Sabrina Feser says a safety guard throughout the retailer sustained minor accidents after being assaulted through the theft.
Feser says two of the suspects fled the scene in a automobile ready outdoors the Hamilton Mountain shopping center.
Police, one other mall safety guard and a few witnesses ran after a 3rd suspect. The teenager was arrested throughout the road.
The drive’s K9 unit tracked down a fourth suspect, who dropped some clothes, hammers and a bag of stolen jewellery through the pursuit. Whereas police had been unable to arrest him, Feser says they did recuperate the gadgets left behind.
