Toronto and parts of GTA bracing for heavy rain day: Environment Canada

Atmosphere Canada is warning of great quantities of rain in Toronto and elements of the Larger Toronto Space that can make roads moist and slippery on Sunday.

The company forecasts 20 to 44 millimetres of rain in Toronto, Guelph, Oakville, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, Vaughan, Niagara Falls, Oshawa, Markham, Richmond Hill and different areas.

The wet situations will start Sunday morning and shall be heavy at instances. It’ll ultimately scale back to remoted showers at night time.

The company is urging individuals to keep away from washouts close to rivers, creeks and culverts; and maintain youngsters and pets away from creeks and river banks.

Toronto and Area Conservation Authority says a Flood Outlook, Watershed Circumstances Assertion is in impact till 10:00 p.m. Monday.

It says the mix of rainfall, above-freezing temperatures, frozen floor, ice and snow soften may create harmful situations close to rivers or different water our bodies and advises to keep away from all shorelines and rivers inside GTA.
