INNISFIL, Ont. — The South Simcoe Police Service says a 15-year veteran of the drive has been charged with 9 counts of discreditable conduct, sparked by a sexual assault allegation.
Police say the investigation into the officer began in October 2023 after the Workplace of the Unbiased Police Evaluate Director notified the drive that it acquired a lady’s allegation towards the officer.
The provincial Particular Investigations Unit investigated and whereas it didn’t lay legal charges, Simcoe police say additional questions have been raised concerning the constable’s conduct.
They are saying an out of doors police drive was referred to as in to research, and the officer was discovered to have breached the police code of conduct in interactions involving two complainants, who have been each members of the general public.
Police say the officer is on a go away of absence that started after the primary allegation was made, however would not say when the incidents in query occurred.
They are saying the matter is earlier than a police tribunal.
