TORONTO — Toronto police say a person allegedly chargeable for capturing at a number of autos alongside Freeway 401 on Tuesday morning has been arrested following a carjacking try on Wednesday night time within the metropolis’s east finish.

Officers responded to carjacking stories on Dundas and Carroll Streets at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. They are saying a person was struggling a gunshot wound and was transported to hospital.

Police say the suspect tried to flee within the sufferer’s automotive however was chased down by officers and brought into custody.

Toronto police confirmed in an e mail the person they arrested was the identical suspect needed for allegedly capturing at greater than 10 automobiles travelling on the 401 freeway in Mississauga simply after 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

They are saying no severe accidents have been reported in Tuesday’s shootings.

Provincial police had earlier obtained the arrest warrant for a 29-year-old Toronto man suspected within the freeway shootings and warned that he was armed and harmful.
