Only a day earlier than he was scheduled to go to trial on baby pornography charges, a former Fergus elementary faculty trainer has pleaded responsible.
Darwin Harrison pleaded responsible in Guelph’s Ontario Courtroom of Justice to possessing baby porn. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 11 in Guelph.
Harrison was initially arrested in April 2023, and charged with possessing baby pornography, making baby pornography accessible and accessing baby pornography. The opposite two charges haven’t been formally dropped.
Guelph police didn’t launch his title on the time of his arrest.
When GuelphToday inquired in regards to the case, a spokesperson alluded to a two-month investigation in February 2023, which included a search of a Guelph house.
The 40-year-old was listed as a long-term occasional trainer at J.D. Hogarth Public College in Fergus.
He’s presently listed as “inactive/non-practising” on the Ontario School of Academics’ web site.
