Lucas (Luc) Fornoville, P.Eng., Ar., of Rockwood, handed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, in Guelph, Ontario. His final days have been spent together with his beloved spouse, Marleen, and kids, Thomas and Martine, at his aspect.
Luc was a cherished particular person: a husband, father and Opa identified for his form, loving, caring, and humorous character. He was born October 15, 1948, in Wilrijk, Belgium, the youngest of three boys. Rising up he excelled in a number of sports activities, notably tennis and soccer. A lot of his free time was spent as a frontrunner in youth organizations, biking via Europe and mountain climbing.
Luc studied civil engineering and structure on the College of Ghent, throughout which period he met the love of his life. They married in 1973 and have been lucky to spend greater than 51 years collectively as a pair. Collectively they’d two great youngsters and determined to deliver their younger household from Belgium to Canada in 1983 to offer higher alternatives for the long run. Over his lifetime, Luc shared his love of music and sports activities together with his youngsters. He took an lively position of their lives, taking Thom to hockey tournaments throughout southern Ontario and attending Martine’s music recitals. His work with the brick manufacturing business spanned from promotion via manufacturing, working with the Canadian Masonry Institute as Govt Director, Canada and Hanson Brick as Plant and Regional Operations Supervisor, Architectural and Engineering Specialist for Atlas Block Co. Ltd., and in the end as Product Supervisor of Patene Constructing Provides earlier than retiring in 2018.
Luc is survived by his pretty spouse Marleen; his admired youngsters, Martine and Thomas (Samantha), his deeply adored grandson Benjamin Lucas, and his brother Raymond (Maria ✝). He was preceded in dying by his dad and mom and brother René.
