Atmosphere Canada says elements of Ontario are anticipated to be hit by heavy, blowing snow as we speak and Wednesday, and a few areas might see as much as 40 centimetres.
The climate company has issued snow squall warnings for a stretch of the province alongside Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, from Huron County to the south and Parry Sound to the north.
Communities alongside Georgian Bay might see between 20 and 40 centimetres of snow, with peak snowfall charges of as much as 10 centimetres per hour till this afternoon.
The company says areas together with Barrie, Collingwood and Hillsdale might see snowfall accumulations of as much as 30 centimetres via Wednesday afternoon.
It says snow squalls can cut back visibility and adjustments from clear skies to heavy snow inside only a few kilometres are widespread.
The company is advising residents to think about suspending non-essential journey till circumstances enhance.
