Three policies you’d champion
I’ll advocate for a Guaranteed Livable Basic Income so no one in a G7 country is just one tough month away from losing their home. I’ll push for a significant wealth tax so the top one percent can’t keep hoarding a quarter of Canada’s wealth while over 10 percent struggle in poverty. I’ll also end subsidies for fossil fuels and redirect that money into public housing, clean energy, and well-paying union jobs. I won’t back down when big banks and tech companies resist; I’ll use those funds for housing, pharmacare, and ensuring everyone has a livable income. For climate action, I’d eliminate fossil fuel subsidies from their agenda and establish a solid timeline to phase them out with just-transition plans created by workers themselves.Combating separatism in Quebec and Alberta
Separatism thrives when people feel overlooked, disrespected, or squeezed financially. My priority is to make life more bearable again: affordable housing, wages that match the cost of living, and effective services. In Quebec, this means genuinely respecting language and culture along with establishing real nation-to-nation relationships while achieving tangible improvements in housing and health care. In Alberta and the Prairies, it involves stopping subsidies for oil executives, investing in clean energy along with value-added jobs, and granting workers as well as Indigenous nations actual decision-making power.Conditions for supporting a Liberal minority
I’m not here to babysit a Liberal government. I’d only support a Liberal minority if they provide clear written commitments: a path towards a Guaranteed Livable Basic Income, an actual wealth tax, strict deadlines to end fossil fuel subsidies, plus genuine progress towards universal pharmacare and dental care. I’d also advocate for proportional representation so people’s votes truly matter. If the Liberals keep prioritizing capitalism over people’s needs, then I’m ready to walk away.Strategy on the Trump administration
Donald Trump responds best to strength rather than flattery. Canada needs to present itself clearly: we stand up for our workers, our sovereignty, and our values. When it comes to trade issues like tariffs, this means direct support for affected industries alongside strong “buy Canadian” rules while diversifying trade so no single president can manipulate our economy at will. Additionally, I’d strengthen connections with U. S. labor groups along with Indigenous nations on both sides of the border as well as progressive movements because our relationship should be about people connecting-not just leaders talking.Decreasing economic inequality
