A 61-year-old woman is currently in the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a school bus on the Burlington Skyway.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sgt. Kerry Schmidt shared on social media that around midnight, the woman’s vehicle broke down in an active lane of traffic.
According to Schmidt, she exited her car and was standing beside the concrete wall.
The school bus then collided with her vehicle and struck the woman who was next to it, as reported by police.
“She was taken to hospital with serious injuries,” said Schmidt.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported for the 36 students, three teachers, or the driver of the bus.
