Halton Regional Police have confirmed the physique discovered floating on the water Friday afternoon (August 16) close to Spencer Smith Park in Burlington was that of a 45-year-old male.
The physique, which was noticed simply earlier than 4 p.m., was situated face down simply metres off the shore near the Waterfront Pier.
The Halton Regional Police marine unit and Burlington Hearth Division attended the scene at 3:58 p.m. with the hearth division recovering the physique from the water.
“The body was confirmed to be male and the male further confirmed as deceased,” Halton Regional Police media relations officer Jeff Dillon informed INhalton.com.

The Coroner attended the scene.
An investigation is underway by Halton police.
