Nobody was injured in a Saturday morning home hearth in Burlington.
The Burlington Hearth Division dispatched eight emergency autos and 21 crew members to Rainbow Courtroom – close to the intersection of Higher Center Highway and Guelph Line – simply earlier than 10 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, smoke and flames have been seen. Crews have been on scene for about two hours.
Injury to the house is estimated at roughly $350,000.
Officers checklist the reason for the fireplace as “electrical failure” and say it originated in the lounge.
They warn the general public to not overload circuits.
“Air conditioners and other heavy appliances should be plugged directly into an outlet,” stated the Metropolis of Burlington in a information launch.
“If this is not possible, use a 14 gauge three-wire, grounding-type appliance extension cord. A cord or plug that becomes hot is an indication of an overloaded circuit.”
