Today’s rain has caused serious flooding in Burlington.

Early this afternoon, Environment Canada issued a Flood Outlook, later upgrading it to a Flood Watch – warning that as much as 60 mm of rain was possible.

Halton police are warning drivers that multiple roads and intersections in Burlington are flooded, and stormwater systems are overwhelmed due to rain.

BurlingtonHydro added the flooding, and fallen tree limbs, caused a number of outages across town. Approximately 350 customers in the Pinedale neighbourhood are impacted by an outage caused by a fallen tree branch.

Following the storm earlier today, there are a number of outages in the City. Crews are investigating the cause of each. The ETRs are not known at this time. More information to follow.
