GUELPH, Ont. — Police in Guelph, Ont., say giant portions of butter had been not too long ago stolen from two grocery shops – the most recent in a collection of butter thefts reported within the metropolis this 12 months.
Police allege two males individually entered a retailer within the metropolis’s north finish on Oct. 12 and positioned a number of objects in a cart – together with three circumstances of butter value greater than $900 – earlier than leaving by means of a receiving door.
They allege that 4 days later, two males stole 4 circumstances of butter value greater than $950 from one other retailer and left by means of an emergency exit.
Police say there have been at the least seven “large-scale” butter thefts in Guelph within the final 10 months.
They are saying it’s not recognized if all of the incidents are associated.
Police have launched suspect descriptions and are asking anybody with data to return ahead.
