A 60-year-old man from Toronto is facing several charges after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported he was caught speeding on Highway 407 in Burlington – even though his driver’s licence has been suspended for the last 40 years.
The police stated that the man was pulled over by the Highway Enforcement Team after allegedly driving at a speed of 144 km/h. Officers later found out that his licence had been suspended since 1985.
As per the OPP, this individual has 20 past convictions for driving with a suspended licence. He was also wanted on an existing warrant and was handed over to Halton Regional Police following the traffic stop.
Authorities say he now faces additional charges related to traffic violations.
