Burlington Hearth says cooking is the primary explanation for residential fires in Ontario

Nobody was injured when a hearth broke out within the kitchen of an condo in a Burlington excessive rise.

The Burlington Hearth Division dispatched seven emergency automobiles and 22 crew members to New Road simply after 3 p.m. Saturday.

When firefighters pulled up, there have been no apparent indicators of fireplace. Crews have been on scene for about an hour.

Harm is estimated at roughly $50,000.

“Cooking is the number one cause of residential fires in Ontario,” mentioned Burlington Hearth in a information launch. “Always stay in the kitchen while you’re cooking.”

“Keep a proper-fitting pot lid near the stove when cooking. If a pot catches fire, slide the lid over the pot and turn off the stove. Do not move the pan.”
