A pair of locals are operating because the Ontario Liberal Social gathering’s nominees for Burlington.
Andrea Grebenc, a twice-elected HDSB trustee, and board chair throughout COVID additionally ran for Halton Regional Chair in 2022.
“I believe in a Burlington where every resident has access to quality publicly funded education, affordable housing, reliable publicly funded healthcare, and efficient and effective transportation,” Grebenc wrote in a press release. “I have been privileged to work alongside other community supporters on the City of Burlington’s Integrated Transportation Advisory Committee and as part of the Appleby Line Street Festival organizing committee. I feel honoured and humbled to have been recently recognized by Burlington’s SB Partners Chartered Accountants as a Burlington Community Champion. These experiences have only deepened my resolve to fight for policies that reflect the needs and aspirations of our community.”
Oliver Parker, a civil servant with the federal authorities with a masters in economics – and who’s working towards a PhD at Queen’s College Belfast – has lived in Burlington for greater than 20 years.
“Burlington should be a city within reach. A place where you can build a life and put down lasting roots. A community where affordable housing is a reality, schools are safe and nurturing for your children, and opportunities allow you to earn a living that lets you get ahead,” Parker wrote in a press release.
