Downtown Burlington is getting a bit sweeter due to Craig Pike and Karin Inventory. 

Pike is the founding father of Craig’s Cookies, a bake store that has taken over Toronto streets lately, and now made its approach to Brant Avenue. 

“In Toronto we have five locations, and they’re all corporate stores,” Pike mentioned. “We started our franchising program about a year and a half ago, and Karin was one of the first folks to join the team.”

Inventory was born and raised in Burlington, however moved to Toronto for 10 years, discovering Craig’s Cookies and turning into an everyday on the neighbourhood store. She fell in love with the model earlier than transferring again to Burlington about three years in the past. 

Inventory at all times needed to be her personal boss and run her personal present, however beginning a enterprise from scratch was not within the playing cards for her. 

“I looked into franchising about fives years ago, and nothing felt right,” Inventory mentioned. “We came across an article saying Craig’s was franchising, and instantly felt like I needed to learn more about it.”

Craig’s Cookies at 501 Brant will maintain its grand opening on Saturday, Aug 17.
