A well-known discount store chain is shutting down one of its locations in a southern Ontario city, according to the company.
A representative from Giant Tiger confirmed to INsauga. com that they will be closing their store in Burlington.
This location is at 2025 Guelph Line, close to Upper Middle Road.
“The decision to close any of our stores is not taken lightly and is made with careful consideration and thorough analysis,” Jessica Charbonneau said.
“Our priority is ensuring that staff and customers are supported, and we are working directly with impacted employees.”

The store will shut its doors on Saturday, March 7, she mentioned.
It’s unclear how many people might lose their jobs.
“We encourage customers to visit the next closest store, Giant Tiger Hamilton and Stoney Creek, or online at Giant Tiger. com,” Charbonneau said.
There are three Giant Tiger locations in Hamilton: at 1211 Barton Street East, 969 Upper Ottawa Street, and 33 Cannon Street East.
Additionally, there are two stores in Mississauga at 1131 Dundas Street West and 3200 Erin Mills Parkway.
