A popular discount chain will be shutting down its store in a southern Ontario city in just a few weeks.
A representative from Giant Tiger confirmed to INsauga. com that the Burlington location will be closing.
This store is situated at 2025 Guelph Line, close to Upper Middle Road. It’s the only Giant Tiger store in Burlington.
The closure is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 – which is about three and a half weeks away.
“The decision to close any of our stores is not taken lightly and is made with careful consideration and thorough analysis,” Jessica Charbonneau said.
“Our priority is ensuring that staff and customers are supported, and we are working directly with impacted employees.”
It’s unclear how many employees might be affected by this closure.
Charbonneau encouraged shoppers to check out one of the nearest Giant Tiger locations in Hamilton or visit Giant Tiger. com.
There are three other Giant Tiger stores in Hamilton: located at 1211 Barton Street East, 969 Upper Ottawa Street, and 33 Cannon Street East.
Mississauga also has two stores at 1131 Dundas Street West and 3200 Erin Mills Parkway.
