Halton regional police report that a 24-year-old man has lost his life after being shot at a mall in Burlington, Ont., on Monday night.
The incident took place at Burlington Centre Mall – located near Guelph Line and Fairview Street – just after 10 p. m., shortly following the closing of the stores for the evening.
Authorities stated that the shooting occurred in the parking lot, and the man was quickly taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Halton police media relations officer Jeff Dillon mentioned that this shooting in an “open parking lot” shows a “complete disregard for the safety of others, firing a handgun in an open space like that.” Officers are currently searching for two suspects who escaped in a white SUV; however, no arrests have been made yet.
