Town is getting ready residents for attainable transit and repair cancellations as some 1,200 Brampton highway crew, bylaw, transit and different staff may stroll off the job this week.

Town has been negotiating a brand new cope with CUPE 831, the union representing staff in departments like Group Companies, Public Works and Engineering, and Brampton Transit amongst others.

A collective bargaining settlement between the town and CUPE 831 expired earlier this 12 months. Fabio Gazzola, president of CUPE 831, stated final month that the union had been on the bargaining desk “working towards a fair deal for our members.”
