Home invasion ‘network’ busted with over $14M in drugs leads to charges for Mississauga and Brampton men: police

Three males from Brampton and one from Mississauga are amongst 17 folks charged in a year-long investigation into a house invasion community that netted greater than $14 million in medicine, three firearms and dozens of charges.

The operation dubbed Venture Skyfall began on Christmas Eve final yr following a break-in close to Forest Drive and Harmonia Crescent in Vaughan, York Regional Police say.

An investigation into the armed theft led police to dismantle “a larger criminal network” with members concerned in dwelling invasions, armed robberies and drug trafficking.

Officers with each the Toronto Police Service and Peel Regional Police helped investigators determine and arrest 17 suspects resulting in a mixed 83 charges.

Three of the accused are from Brampton whereas one other is from Mississauga.

Ryan Barton, 33, of Mississauga, Warret Martin, 43, Kemar Buchanan, 37, and Newton Treasure, 37, all of Brampton, have been arrested.

Treasure was charged with weapons trafficking and unauthorized use of laptop, whereas Barton, Martin and Buchanan have been charged with numerous offences.
