ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police stated on Thursday that on Sunday, November 3 at roughly 12 p.m., officers responded to a trespassing criticism that arose out of a protest on the Hindu Sabba Temple, positioned on The Gore Street in Brampton.

As officers had been attempting to de-escalate tensions, a video was captured and posted to social media that confirmed an altercation between an officer and a protester.
Peel Regional Police say that they perceive that the video triggered concern in the neighborhood. “We take all complaints about officer conduct seriously and have conducted a review of the incident,” they added.
Following an investigation, it was decided that the officer depicted within the video was trying to disarm a person who refused to give up their weapon and have become confrontational, and accordingly acted throughout the lawful execution of his duties.
