On October 31, 2025, police were called to a fight between several tow truck drivers near Kennedy Road South and Orenda Road in Brampton. When they arrived, officers found three victims who had been assaulted with a metal pole. Two of the victims had also been sprayed with bear spray and needed medical care.
Following a comprehensive investigation, the following individuals were arrested and charged on January 14, 2026:
* Rishav Chopra (27)
Utter Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death Assault Assault Causing Bodily Harm (two counts) Administering Noxious Thing with Intent to Cause Bodily Harm (two counts) Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
* Jashandeep Singh (34)
Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm Assault with a Weapon (three counts)
* Harmandeep Singh (27)
* Tajinder Chopra (20) and Varun Aul (32)
All individuals charged were released on an undertaking with conditions.
