UPDATE: Police say the lockdown at Jean Augustine Secondary College was lifted shortly earlier than 12 p.m. and the Investigation is ongoing.
A Brampton highschool has been locked down after reviews {that a} weapon was noticed inside the varsity on Thursday morning.
Peel Regional Police are on the scene and stated the lockdown at Jean Augustine Secondary College, at Elbern Markell Drive and Bovaird Drive, was put in place “as a precaution.”
They added the decision for reviews of “a weapon seen in the school” was acquired at round 9:30 a.m. Police didn’t specify what sort of weapon was reportedly seen.
No accidents have been reported.
