Two men have been taken into custody following a police raid at residences in Brampton.
According to the Toronto Police, officers from the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force were investigating incidents of illegal weapon possession when they executed search warrants on Feb. 13 in the Queen Street East and Highway 50 area, along with The Gore Road and Countryside Drive area.
The authorities reported that they confiscated a loaded handgun and ammunition, along with a significant amount of cocaine and Fentanyl.
Jesse Dawson, 35, from Toronto, has been arrested and faces charges including:
Possess restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a license Possess loaded regulated firearm Possess prohibited firearm knowing unauthorized Three counts of possession of firearm while prohibited Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000
Jasdeep Tatla, 33, from Brampton, has also been arrested and is charged with:
Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking
Both individuals are set to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 14.
