A Brampton man has been charged with arson within the wake of Tuesday’s hearth that destroyed a landmark downtown constructing.
On Wednesday night time, Orillia OPP arrested 35-year-old Brandon Costa after matching him with the outline of the arson suspect.
“(Costa) was identified through evidence received from local businesses and members of the community,” stated Orillia OPP Const. Derek Tilley. “The male was located by police shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 22, where he was arrested and charged with arson.”
Costa was held in police custody Wednesday night time, however Tilley stated he has since been launched.
“The male was held by the Orillia OPP overnight to attend bail court today, where he was released with a promise to appear before the courts on Feb. 5,” he stated.
