Brampton is seeing disruptions to some key municipal providers after 1,200 metropolis employees went on strike Thursday.

The employees, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Workers (CUPE) Native 831, walked off the job within the early morning hours after contract negotiations with the town failed to provide a brand new deal.

The staff on strike embody these answerable for public transit, parks and recreation, highway upkeep, animal management, courthouse providers, bylaw enforcement, and constructing inspections and permits.
