Authorities in Brampton, Ont., confirm they have arrested a man who was being sought for his father’s murder.
Peel Regional Police announced on social media platform X late Sunday that the suspect is now in their custody.
Officers responded to a call at a home on Clearjoy Street Saturday afternoon where they discovered a man in his 50s with gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite attempts by first responders to save him.
According to police reports, the man’s son, aged 25, was wanted for second-degree murder related to this case as well as attempted murder.
Before he was arrested, police had indicated that he might be armed and dangerous and advised people not to approach him.
