One man is deceased and 5 others injured in what police say was a “violent” crash involving two autos early Sunday morning.
Peel police say a van was travelling westbound on Steeles Avenue and was making an attempt a left-hand flip onto Finch Avenue at Gorewood Drive when a crash with an Audi going eastbound on Steeles Avenue occurred.
The male passenger within the van was pronounced deceased on the scene whereas the feminine driver of the van was transported to a trauma centre in important situation.
The 4 occupants of the Audi had been taken to a neighborhood hospital with minor accidents.
Police say they’re a number of components which will have led as much as the crash together with pace and presumably avenue racing.
“We are aware of potential links between street racing in that area and we are trying to determine if this was linked to this fatal collision, but right now it’s too early for us to rule anything out,” mentioned Cst. Moulika Sharma.
