A 22-year-old man from Utopia was killed after a snowmobile collided with a truck in Springwater Township.
Ontario Provincial Police say they responded with firefighters and paramedics shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday to a collision on George Johnston Highway close to Snow Valley Highway.
“Poor visibility attributable to heavy snowfall and wind had been components within the collision,” in line with police.
OPP say the collision occurred within the space of a path that crosses George Johnston Highway.
The driving force of the snowmobile was pronounced lifeless on the scene, whereas the truck driver was unhurt.
The investigation is ongoing.
The OPP is requesting that if anybody was within the space throughout the time of the collision and has any data, sprint cam, or surveillance footage that will help investigators, to name Huronia West OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
