A Buckhorn man faces practically a dozen charges after ignoring law enforcement officials’ suggestion to drag over on Tuesday shortly after 11 p.m.


Provincial police noticed a Mercedes Sprinter van within the First and Oak streets of Collingwood that was unable to take care of his lane. Police say they tried to cease the automobile, however the driver didn’t yield.


A short while later, the identical van was seen coming into a car parking zone off Jozo Weider Blvd within the Blue Mountains.


As police approached the motorized vehicle the Buckhorn man locked the doorways, refused to exit the car and started ingesting alcohol. He was taken into custody and transported to Collingwood detachment.


The 50-year-old man was charged with:



Operation whereas impaired – alcohol and medicines

Flight from peace officer

Failure or refusal to adjust to demand

Function a motorized vehicle with out insurance coverage

Driving motorized vehicle with open container of liquor

Drive with window coated – view obstructed

Unsafe transfer – lane or shoulder

Drive motorized vehicle, no at present validated allow

Driver fail to give up licence

Drive with out correct headlights – motorized vehicle


The accused will seem earlier than the Ontario Court docket of Justice in Collingwood at a future date.
