We’re unhappy to announce the passing of Richard Coleman Jones, in his 74th yr, on Saturday, January 4th, 2025. Rick courageously battled an aggressive most cancers for six years, which was for much longer than his preliminary prognosis. In his closing hours, Rick was comforted by his spouse of 48 years, Cheryl, and his daughters, Kate and Caroline, who had been at house by his facet.
Rick was gracious to all who helped him via his journey and maintained a constructive perspective till the day of his passing.
The son of Jean and Dick Jones, Rick grew up together with his beloved sister Donna in Oakville, Ontario. The Jones household summered at Presqu’ile Level the place they had been surrounded by generations of household and lifelong pals. Rick earned a level in City Planning from the College of Waterloo and an MBA from York College. He moved to Barrie, the place he grew to become the Metropolis Planner and met the love of his life, Cheryl. Collectively in Barrie, they raised their two daughters and their many canine.
