A patchy fog has settled over Barrie.
Whereas Surroundings Canada has known as for fog advisories over the western areas of Ontario, they haven’t issued an alert for central Ontario as of but.
But Dave Phillips, a retired senior climatologist with Enviroment Canada who lives in Barrie, spoke to the circumstances its experiencing Monday morning.
“It is patchy and it is localized,” Phillips mentioned.
“For those who’re close to a snowy floor, the nice and cozy air over it’s being cooled, that causes the fog,” he mentioned. “We’re anticipating some drizzle and that can assist to dissipate it.”
Because the morning warms up and the ice melts, layers of fog moved into the Barrie space leaving poor visibility and cautionary driving circumstances.
“It turns into a driving difficulty. In Barrie, you are driving out and in of it,” mentioned Phillips.
