He’s missed by his spouse of 63 years Carol (nee Thurston), his daughter Kelly Jones (née Dunk) and son-in-law Kirk Jones, his granddaughter Alexandra Jones and her companion Tyler Wilson, his two nice grand kids Audrey and Michael, all of Barrie, Ontario, and his brother, Harry Dunk and sister Mary Eleanor Henley, each of Lindsay, Ontario.
Michael joined the Canadian Military Apprentice Coaching Plan at 16 combining army coaching with continuation of training. He served within the Service Corps in a clerical capability for 16 years rising to Sergeant within the Division of Nationwide Protection Administration Examine unit. When his place turned a civilian place, he left the military one Friday in uniform and got here again on Monday in “civvies” to the identical workplace and the identical desk. Mike remained within the Civil Service as a Administration Guide till his retirement in 1995.
Mike was a proficient craftsman creating stained glass objects, intarsia works and lots of paper cuttings. His forte, although, was duck and decoy carving, profitable a number of awards for his life-like decoys.
